Aleksandr Ray – Surgical Scrub Nurse

Aleks came to MVSS as a part-time surgical nurse in 2014. Aleks demonstrated an aptitude for veterinary surgery and quickly became the lead full-time surgical scrub nurse in 2015. Aleks is frequently found scrubbed into surgery with Dr. Walesby passing her the instruments and implants needed for each procedure. Aleks is a talented rock climber and a molecular gastronomy enthusiast. On the weekend he can be found hanging upside down in the New River Gorge or bolted into a tent on the side of a mountain or possibly concocting a recipe from ingredients whose names few can pronounce. Aleks resides in Columbia near all of his favorite things. (Wegmans and Earth Treks).
